Chlamydia is a type of bacteria and is easily treated and cured with antibiotics. Depending on your history and possible allergies, the physician will choose from several antibiotics azithromycin, amoxil, EES 400. Numerous possibilities can be used. It is best to let a doctor decide. You should abstain from sexual intercourse until all sexual partners have completed treatment or you can get re-infected.

l never had chlamydia, but my doctor used to give me a 5 day antibiotic called Levaquin. l LOVED it because when l was sick, l only had to take 5 pills- one a day. l looked it up on the internet one day and was surprised that it was sometimes used to treat chlamydia. It would maybe be a good, quick 5 day treatment. l am NO doctor or expert- ask your doctor.
