friday l was out and took a sip of beer and had gum in my mouth, l tried to move the gum so l wouldn'tt swallow it and bit my tongue,l took a breath in and it felt like some beer went down the ''wrong pipe'' so for 3 days now l have been driving myself nuts thinking l aspirated the beer into my lungs.

l swear sometimes TV can be more harmful to ur health than anything! OK, if u did aspirate beer, it is unlikely there wsa much in there & by now it would have dried up. When u felt it go in the wrong pipe if it truly did u should have went into a coughing fit (there is a reflex that makes u cough to keep the lungs safe) l could get all technical here & go way into this BUT l won't, l will just say that u r fine & not to worry. Aspiration Pneumonia is pretty much a concern for older people & people with trach is who aspirate large quantities of foods & liquids.
