iam coughing like crazy and iam allergic to syrup medicine and l really need to know besides any medicine what CAN HELP ME STOP please help!

l have a horrid cough just now too, l find filling the sink with really hot water putting a towel over my head and leaning over the sink helps a lot, l think the steam helps to clear it out, l do it before l go to bed so it eases the cough through the night
|

believe this or not , but does help with congestion. rub vicks vapor rub on your feet and wear socks.Also you can get cough suppresants in pill form . try triaminic . Cough drops work too . but really try the vicks, last cold l had l started off with zicam in my nose and vicks on my feet . l hardly felt sick!!!
