is it quite possible for someone who has suffered from epilepsy for many years growing up and suddenly went away, could it very possibly come back. or does it stay away for ever? and if someone has suffered from it and suddenly it went away is it best to stay away from smoking and drinking?

Yes, sometimes people will stop having epileptic seizures. This is especially true if they were epileptic children and then stopped having attacks after their teens.

l would stay away from smoking and drinking. Why? Why not. l would also watch my diet. And if l had changed anything (like my diet, medications, different TV/video game habits, sleep habits, timezones, anything at all) l would not switch back. But that is just me.

1. It is possible. But u would have to ask ur doctor whether it is okay to stop taking ur medicine, when it does go away.

2. It could come back, or it could stay away forever. It depends on the person. No one can predict what will happen in the future.

3. It is best to stay away from alcohol & smoking, even without epilepsy. So l imagine it would help staying away from those. Although epilepsy is a biological problem
