it is just starting and l also have a lil sore throat. l have lil kids at home and they go to school, l got it from them. =(

You can not get rid of it, but you can soften your symptoms. Try warm milk and honey for your throat.

Do not eat much (and no dairy products--they increase phlegm production), drink plenty of fluids (hot tea, water, fruit juice), and get plenty of sleep.

try to avoid drinking cold water or stuff in nights..because these things r what matters .
for now take some warm water.say..like..one cup & add about half teaspoon salt in it.do gargles form this salty water..twice or trice a day..this will help u in relief from sore throat.
another thing u can do is that take some herbs..basic ones..
boil them in water..
now take that boiled water from the herbs.the left over..ok.and do gargles..
this is a really effective one.

Drink lots of water, sit on the sofa & watch movies all day, get ur husband to be ur servant & eat lots & lots of chocolate!

You could take something like paracetamol to help the pain too, but nothing really clears up a cold, u just have to wait it out & let it clear up naturally.

So yes, the best remedy is tender loving care! Oh & chocolate, the chocolate is a must, even though u might not be able to taste it :P best start eating it now before it gets too bad!!

do lukewarm salt water gargling daily 6th hourly and take one pinch of turmeric powder with a glass of hot milk in the morning and evening and be warmth.

If you caught heat with it you should drink lots of fresh water, drink a mixture of 1 lemon juice with 1 large spoon of honey (each time) do not add water to them and drink them slowly repeat this mixture every 4 hours, avoid hot foods and hot drinks as they make you feel better but the cold will worsen.
