What is a septal spur? l tried looking it up on google and did not find anything particularly helpful.

it is just a tiny bony bump, like a calcaneal (heel spur) but in your nose.

the nasal septum is made up of cartilage in the front & bone in the back. the bony part is actually several thin bones that grow together , & as they grow toward each other they can overlap, producing a ''spur'' that projects into the airway & limits the room for air to pass. Spurs can also be the result of trauma to the nose. Just because u have these doesnt necessarily mean u need surgery, but if u cant breathe well through ur nose, this may be a big part of the problem. As always, if u arent sure whats going on, ask ur doctor to explain thing to you.
