l have a cold l think l have a dry throat and my chest feels heavy and feels like l have mucus in my throat but l cant cough it up and ideas??
why cant l cough it up and l have pain in my back between my shoulder blades and in my chest when l cough

It could be a chest infection or a flu but dont worry it wont kill you. if your so worried go to your GP

Just do not try and wait for everything to aggravate . l think no other than a specified doctor can give u the right answer . We all hav experiences regarding cold . But it must not be right for all situations . So my dear , just let the doc decide whats the problem . And if u think it is cold , and take some medicine on your own . May be it may show any side effects . In my opinion visit a doc .

Sounds like a cold and/or the beginning of bronchitis. If you get a high fever (like 103, then l would suspect pneumonia).
To loosen things up in your chest, drink a little more water or any liquids, frequently through the day.
