l sometimes (happened only 2 times before) get a sudden sharp pain in my left side of my chest but it goes away in about 1 minute and hurts worse if l breath in or make any movement. But it does not feel like l have a shortness of breath. l only feel more pain but l can breath normally. This just happened a few minutes ago l feel ok just shaken up about it,l do not smoke either if that is a risk factor...

l read could be caused by blood clots that could cause pulmonary embolism.. I am only 22 can this affect anyone at any age? l know if it is PE it can be fatal if left untreated or so I've read online..

Is there any tests l can do right now at home to see if l have PE? Or will l have to get it checked out by a respiratory specialist doc right away?
I am still not sure yet if its PE or not or maybe something else..that is why l ask..

Go to a doctor. That is the only way u will know for sure.
l had the exact same symptoms several years ago (early-mid 20's). l had the sharp pain when breathing or trying to breath deeply & with movement. l went to a doctor & he said it was due to the bones in my sternum or ribcage or something. The pain went away on it is own after a month or so & has never returned. l can not remember the specific diagnosis, unfortunately. Might have been Precordial Catch Syndrome or something like that.
