sinus infection... antibiotics

im going to be starting the antibiotic keflex. how long after starting that does it usualy help dry up the sinus drainage?
it has me making me horribly nauseous and l cant eat...
any other suggestions for drying up sinuses is welcome:)

The response of sinusitis to antibiotics should usually be within 3-5 days to start to experience a difference, but can vary more than this amongst individual patients.

Pseudoephedrine is a very useful medication to help reduce secretions and dry up the sinuses. Many patients also find that taking an anti-histamine is useful (eg. Zyrtec or Claratyne) as it helps to reduce any contribution from an allergic component.
