Technically, an asthma attack can occur at any time and is not barred by time, circumstances or medication.
l have had attacks in the summer & winter, during allergy season and not, moments of emotion and calm. Take your preventive medication and never leave home without your rescue inhaler.
God bless!

Hi, Yes u can have an asthma attack in ur sleep. Your symptons r typical asthma. My asthma is flared by my sinsus problems & my pulmonolgist gave me nasonex, l no longer have any problem with my sinusus. The other good pill for asthma directly related to allergies is singulair. It also has no side effeects & will help u sleep better at night. You may want to try a sleep study, oral-maxiofacial doctor or ENT (ears, nose & throat). Specialist.along with ur asthma u may have some sort of sleep apnea. The asthma may only be one part of it.you should really get it checked further as u could be causing damage to ur body without even knowing it. Just a thought..Good luck & best wishes..
