l got my tongue pierced on thursday and now its swelled( l knew it Would be) but it also is starting to have a bigish hole under the tongue bar (barbell) on the top side of my tongue.. and l am getting a yellow/whiteish ring around the top end of my tongue next to the barbell.... is this normal??? what is happening??? Please help me

use warm salt water to swill around your mouth several times a day to stop infection, if you think its becoming infected take it out and see your GP

its getting infected, you have to start taking better care of it or you will have to take it out

try not to fiddle with it and the yellow/whiteish ring that is appearing is just the skin growing in other words its like a wound and is healing the white is simply the new layer of skin but as for the hole l do not no if l was u l would go to see a doctor because that is not normal also to help the swelling go down try mixing some warm water with a few grains of salt apply with a cotton bud about 3 to 4 times a day
