hi all, just a quick question, i've given up smoking todaywill have been my 5th day with out a ciggy :-)well to be honest i've had the flu really bad and for once decided that l felt to ill to smoke, when normally l smoke through every illness under sun that i've had !!! so dose it get any easier! im staying positive and thinking of all the money im saving which l added it up today and it works out roughly to £150.00BGP OMG what a waste so im thinkingof all the good that will come out of it !! so dose it get any easier?

It gets a little easier but the desire for one will always be there .its gonna take will power

l got to 8 days before l give in.. =/ but if your determined then yes l reckon you will do it!!

Yes, Nikki it does. Have been there, done that. Stay positive. Remember. You r only one puff away from a pack a day!! Stay strong !!
If u have a friend who has gone through it & won the battle, enlist his or her help in being a mentor. This l found was a great help as l was lucky enough to have my doctor offer himself for this duty. He would personally call 2 or 3 times a week enquiring of my progress. That reinforcement was incredible, just knowing he was that interested in my well being.
Keep ash trays, lighters, matches out of sight. Keep ur hands busy. Example while watching TV l would squeeze a soft rubber ball.
The good u r thinking of outweighs the cost advantages by far. Congratulations on what u will soon say is the best thing in life you've ever done.

When u feel better u may take up smoking again. l always did.
I've been smoke free for 3 months now.only because l went on Chantix. You smoke while u r taking it..and then ur body will tell u it no longer wants the cigarette. They taste bad & smell even worse. It is truly a miracle drug. The only bad part is l gained 10 lbs. which l am working on getting rid of now.
Quitting cold turkey is very hard. Good luck to you.and try not to pick up those butts!!♥

Yes, 3-5 days out is the *worst* because you're nicotine levels have just gone to zero. It will keep getting better gradually for months and months.
