of course! They can & do go away on their own. They're often a response to something: an allergy, exercise, an irritant, or some other stressor. When the trigger is gone, if u r not too far gone u should get better until you're fine again.

Talk with ur doc about when u have to use the inhaler & when it is okay to wait it out. On one hand, the inhaler is no fun & has some unpleasant side effects. On the other, the earlier an asthma attack is addressed while it is still worsening, the less severe it will get. In the worst ones, u only have so long to take the inhaler before you're unable to. Also, uncontrolled asthma does not just decrease ur physical & mental abilities while you're having an attack. It also scars ur lungs over time so that ur capacity will be less than that of a non-smoker of ur age & sex as time goes by.

It is a matter of weighing the costs of each: What do l lose if l take my inhaler this time? What can l lose if l don't?
