get a bowl of boiling water and a towel
put ur head and the bowl under the towel (obv dont put ur head in the water) but take deep deep breaths n the steam helps your breathiing
its an old fashioned way of relieving astma

Well u could return to ur doctor for an inhaler, or breathe over a bowl of hot steaming water with vick or eucalyptus added.
Steer clear of milk & cheese - dairy products - at the moment as it aggravates the catarrh. Eat plenty of fruit. When u cough & cant cough up the phlegm, lay on the bed, lean over the end & get someone to gently poat ur back each side from the base to under ur neck - keep some tissues handy as this will cause u to cough up & youll be less breathless then. l do the tip & tap to myself - it works, though not as well as if someone else were doing it for you.

On no account use inhaled medication for colds this is potentially dangerous & may increase ur bronchospasm! Being tight chested, which l am sure is a recurrence of ur asthma, requires the correct medication. You need to see a doctor for appropriate medication ASAP. Phone ur GP & u will be justified in INSISTING that u r seen today.
DO NOT allow the receptionist to fob u off with the offer of an inhaler prescription as u really need formally assessed & may well require retraining if it is a long time since u were given inhaler therapy.
Guys like ' Chairman ALF', ' dizzee546', ' richard', + 'Nadia' should not even try to give medical advice if they have no knowledge at all. Someone could actually suffer harm as a result! This is not really the sort of question that should be appearing on . 2000 people a year in the UK die due to asthma attacks!
