Sounds complicated. Several things can happen during pregnancy. l would talk to ur doctor about what to do next considering every pregnancy & woman is body is unique & different. If u do not feel well then something is not right. You should go & stay in the hospital until u feel better especially if u r pregnant. A pulse of 92 or 93 can be considered in the normal range but for skinny/short people it can be high. Again it depends on what is normal for you. Hot flashes can mean dehydration, so drink lots of water especially when u r pregnant, or high blood pressure. Obey ur doctors orders so u & ur baby can be healthy & stay in the hospital as long as u can until u feel better. Ask the nurse to explain fully what is wrong & what u can do to fix the problem. Good luck!

A pulse oximetry reading of 92-93% is normal, however we do like to keep it above 95% in most healthy people. This is also assuming that they have a normal amount of red blood cells to carry the oxygen around the body. You stated that u r anemic & have low iron levels in u blood. The quickest way to fix that is to eat small amounts of red meat each day along with vegetables like spinach that also contain iron. You can also talk to u physician about an iron supplement that u can take safely during u pregnancy. The shortness of breath u were feeling was most probably a combination of not enough red blood cells to carry the oxygen & the baby pushing up on ur diaphragm. Be sure to discuss this when u see ur doctor for a follow up visit. Congradulations on the baby!

l would initially say that anemia is fairly common in pregnancy . & that we typically like to keep our ''mom's'' at 95% or above .. the difference between oxygen delivery in the pregnant & non-pregnant women is that the pregnant women is cardiac output has to do more with the oxygenation of the fetus due to the usual anemia ..
generally, the hot flashes r the changes hormonally that u r going through . just scattershooting .. BTW congratulations on ur pregnancy :)
i guess l have to wonder about ur hydration & what ur OB is doing for ur anemia ..
If ur OB is comfortable with that O2 Saturation . l guess the only way that u can assist in elevating ur O2 Sat is to frequently inhale deeply to expand ur lungs . in the case that ur baby is high & pushing the diaphragm up causing some poorly aerated pockets of alveoli . the deep breathing exercises should help some ..
