When ever l wake up from sleeping l have a hard time breathing. l feel like l do not breathe when l sleep then when l wake up i'm like starting to and my heart beats really fast (if that makes any since) and the feeling of trying to catch my breath last for a while too. is this natural or is somethin wrong with me?
I am not fat or over weight i'm 5 foot 5 inches and weigh 130 if that helps.

My grandfather had a condition where he would stop breathing in his sleep. It could be a very dangerous thing because it would stop oxygenated blood from getting to your brain and other vital organs and possibly cause brain damage or worse. You should call your doctor but as long as you do not fall asleep until then you should be fine. l hope this helps.
