If someone has cystic fibrosis, does exercise effect them? Is it good or bad??

well exercise is good fro everyone. you just have to be cautious and test your ability. dont push it too hard right at first.

l suppose exercise, or as they like to call it nowadays ''Physio'' would be good for someone with CF as long as they do not exert themselves to the point of breathlessness.

CF patients should exercise, as should we all! A child with CF should be encouraged to run & jump & play. An adult with CF should exercise in moderation. They should, of course, consult with a doctor. If they have severe lung disease, exercise is still a good idea but a gradual program should be followed, a pulmonary rehab type.

l have CF patients who totally whip my butt in running since they do cross country & l am old & fat.

Oh, & just like any of us, if they r in an area where the air quality is bad, they should also take that into consideration.

Exercise is good for someone with CF. It helps keep the mucus moving around so you can cough it up. The best exercise is swimming l have heard.
