l do not wanna punish him, but how can l persuade him to stop?

oh my lord! that is one big problem yu've got there...well, one thing is for sure is to talk to him..and try to explin to him the effects of smoking...

Tell your son the disadvantage and disease that is caused by smoking.
Disease caused:=
Lung cancer
Tubercolisis (TB)
Lead to Infertility
Leads to Chest Pain or Angina
Teeth Decay and bad breath.
Skin Infection (tell him he will loose good texture of his skin and it will become dull and develop rashes after some time)

You are not very good at spelling and grammar.

anyway, tell him there that scientist just found out that there is something in tobacco that shrinks your penis.
he will get hell scared.

here are some options

make him smoke the whole pack in front of you
show him pics of lung cancer
tell him he doesnt have to smoke to be cool
if hes stressed tell him to chew gum or pick up a safer hobby like skateboarding or other sports
give him rules like if he lives with you then no smoking

take him on a tour of the cancer ward of the hospital. explain to hin u would like him to stop because u want him to live a full life. & u can talk to him about how addictive they are--he may not be able to stop rt away. u might have to continue to educate him for some time. sometimes kids smoke to make friends w. certain other kids or just to feel cool--or because they r upset about things & they r using them to ease their tension. u might want to talk about those possabilitoes with him,,. lt him know that he other ways to make friends or deal with his stress, etc, maybe sign him up for some sports too, harder to smoke when u r dribbling a ball, etc.

First you make sure that you do not take cigarette. You must be a good example for him. Explain to him the bad effects. And when he did not listen.. Pray for Him.

This is a real tough situation because at the end of the day it is his choice to whether or not he quits smoking.

All u can do is keep trying to convince him. Smokers r stubborn people ( l know because l used to be one of them).

Let him know how much u & the rest of the family love him. Let him know the pain u will all go through if u were to lose him prematurely. Putting ur son through a big guilt trip is a hard thing to do but it may be ur only option.

If u can, try to guide him to our blog. It has some really great ideas & information. This may help to convince him.

Do not listen to those who say stop trying to convince him. Never stop trying, if u quit trying then he sure as hell wo not quit smoking.
