l am pretty sure you do not just ''catch'' pneumonia- you get a chest cold and if it is really bad and you do not rest or take care of yourself properly it can turn into pneumonia.

It can be caused by many different types of infections & someone who gets the same infection may not end up with pneumonia. It particularly sets in when ur immune system is low. Most old people end up dying from pneumonia after being ill with so many other things, pneumonia sets in & finishes them off - but u can not catch it exactly.
