l had the chills once, l have a pretty bad cough. l have brown sputum but only when l can get it from my lungs. Fast heart rate. l feel fatigued just after walking up a flight of stairs.

Actually u have not described pneumonia. l do not understand what u mean by '' l have brown sputum but only when l can get it from my lungs''. How do u know from where the sputum is coming????

The rapid heart rate & fatigue r expected. l am not surprised. Your body is working harder & it is difficult to breathe especially after exertion.

While it is still possible that u may walking pneumonia (which does not require hospitalization), go ahead & see ur doctor, who may tell u that u have bronchitis.

You do not have to have a fever - go to a doctor. l had pneumonia and did not have fever, but l did have chest pain.
Anytime you are having problems breathing you should go to the doctor, especially for an extended period of time.
