Why do we smoke?when u started it?

l was in my teens when l started smoking. l wanted to feel cool, calm, secure. At the time, more people were smoking than not. Smoking was everywhere: in stores, offices, movies, TV, bars, It was very common and no one voiced an objection or indicated the harm it could do. By the time l was 20, l was addicted. By the time l was 50, l was dx. with emphysema. At 60, l am on oxygen. Smoking is not worth the end result.

l was about 11 or 12, my mom smoked.my dad smoked.all my ''friends'' smoked. l guess l just wanted to fit in. Thankfully l quit.my mom is paying now for her years of smoking.and she is paying dearly.
