Do not panic, l think ur knee will be just fine. There is one thing that would randomly make ur knee all of a sudden feel like someone is jabbing ur knee from inside ur kneecap. You r growing. You're body does not just go to sleep & wake up bigger, you're cells r multiplying in a way u dont quite understand yet. You will though.

Just stay off ur leg for now, & do not do any of the things that make it hurt, just relax it & the pain should go away. If it does not go away in two nights, talk to ur parents, they will know what to do.

l remember my three daughters going through this too. l massaged the knee cap and wiggled it around using lotion or some Ben Gay. l think it is part of growing too. You probably turned a funny way and it caused something to tighten up. Things like knees do not just get injured without a trauma unless you have a disease, which l do not think you have. Make sure you bend your knee from time to time, stay off of it. Try ice, then warm, then ice, etc.
