whats the diffrence between a anxiety attack and a panic attack

as far as l know, they r very different.


my friend has anxiety attacks, & he gets very paranoid & thinks a lot of things. everyones would be different, but my guess of what a panic attack is is when it is triggered by something (which is rarely the case in his anxiety attacks) & u hyperventilate.
my friend does not hyperventilate, & it can last a very long time, which l do not think panic attacks can.

also, i'm pretty sure most people that get anxiety attacks have some sort of mental problems (my friend) & they r frequent. but anyone could have a panic attack as far as l know. of course, some people more than others, just like when people faint. some people faint alot, some have never fainted.

l think they are basically the same thing

The two phrases are interchangeable, however some people may refer to a rush of anxiety as an anxiety attack. Panic attacks result from excessive anxiety.
